32 Volcanes

Founded in 2019, 32 Volcanes is a Guatemalan non-profit civil association located in Quetzaltenango (Xela), Guatemala. However, our history started in the early 1990s when two of our founders, Carmencita and Roney, helped found a non-profit Spanish language school dedicated to improving the wellbeing of Guatemalans in the Western Highlands.

32 Volcanes was launched with established programs and areas of focus thanks to the continued support of two U.S.-based organizations, Foundation Todos Juntos and Timmy Global Health.

Today, 32 Volcanes draws on Carmencita and Roney’s decades of experience to promote community sovereignty and autonomy within our areas of focus. Our current projects include:

  • 32 Volcanes Clinic

  • Nutrition Program

  • Family Support Center

  • Scholarship Program

  • Various Agroecological Projects
